Separating and cleaning your plastic waste before you send it to us means it can be recycled more efficiently.
Plastic: Always re-use any plastic if possible. Look for the plastic symbols # 1, # 2, # 4 or # 5.
Separate waste if made of two materials, i.e., remove bottle tops # 2 from bottles # 1, cut off paper labels from clingfilm # 4 and discard and separate plastic wrap labels # 4 from bottels # 1.
Wash waste if unclean.
Paper/Cardboard: Separate neatly into – bond paper and receipts, newspaper/kraft/toilet rolls, and cardboard.
Aluminium: Wash your waste if needed.
Remove plastic lids/caps (put into HDPE # 2).
